Why printed maps fail
Printed floor plans are wrong the moment a stand moves, and they are useless to the person standing in the wrong hall holding one. The map has to be in the pocket, and it has to be current.
At scale, an event stops being about information and starts being about finding things. A visitor who cannot find a stand blames the event, not the map.
A stand that nobody can locate is a sponsor who does not rebook. Routing attendees to a booth is part of what the exhibitor bought.
