NookAI Assist · AI event assistant

Ask the event.
Get the answer.

What's on next, who's speaking, how to get there, visas, your FAQ, who to contact. NookAI Assist answers from your live agenda and the information you give it, and when it doesn't know, it says so.

Why an assistant belongs in the event app

The answers already exist. Attendees just can't find them fast enough

The programme is in one tab, the FAQ on a web page, the joining instructions in a PDF and the visa letter process in an email from three weeks ago. So attendees ask a person, and on show day your team has better things to do.

The same questions, all day

"Which room?", "Is the keynote still at ten?", "Where do I park?" The desk answers them hundreds of times, and the queue behind them waits.

Information lives in four places

Nobody searches an agenda, an FAQ, a PDF and their inbox between sessions. One place to ask beats four places to look.

Schedules change on the day

A chatbot trained on last week's programme is wrong the moment a session moves. The answer has to come from the agenda as it stands now.

A wrong answer costs more than none

A guessed room sends a crowd the wrong way. A guessed visa rule is worse. The assistant has to know where its knowledge ends.

For attendees

Ask it the way you'd ask the help desk

What's on now and next

It reads your live agenda at the moment of the question, in your event's time zone, and searches sessions by topic, day, room or track.

Who's speaking

Speaker names, roles and topics, with the sessions each one is on. Speakers you've hidden stay hidden.

Getting there and local tips

Venue, transport, parking and places to eat nearby, from your Getting There page or a local-information note.

Visa and travel

Entry requirements and how to request an invitation letter, straight from your Travel & Visa page or guidance PDF.

Your event FAQ

Refunds, dress code, Wi-Fi, a lost badge: whatever your FAQ page covers, answered in two or three sentences.

Who to contact

Invoices to finance, sponsorship to partnerships. Your instructions decide where each kind of question goes.

What it answers from

Live where it matters. Your own words for everything else

  1. 1
    Read live

    Agenda and speakers

Sessions, times, rooms, tracks and speakers are looked up when the question is asked, not copied in advance. A session moved at 08:00 on show day is right at 08:01.

  2. 2
    Indexed

    Your App Pages and Documents

Tick the pages and PDFs it may use: your FAQ, Getting There, Travel & Visa, venue info and joining instructions.

  3. 3
    Knowledge files

    Notes just for the assistant

Write a note, or upload a PDF or Markdown file, for what you know but haven't published. Mark each one Attendees only or Public.

  4. 4
    Your voice

    Instructions and a fallback line

Set its tone and where to send people, then write the line it gives when the answer isn't in your material.

For the organizing team

One settings page, called "What it knows"

NookAI Assist is an add-on app in the NookPass admin. It starts switched off, and it never sees anything you don't select.

  • Off until you switch it on. One toggle turns the event assistant on for your event.
  • Pick every source. Agenda and speakers are on by default, then choose up to 100 App Pages and 100 Documents, plus up to 50 knowledge files.
  • Sync when you're ready. Page and document changes go live when you press Sync now. Agenda changes need no sync.
  • Preview before attendees do. Ask it test questions, even against instructions you haven't saved. Nothing asked there is logged.
  • Attendees only or Public. Anyone can ask, but people who aren't signed in only get answers from Public material.
  • Put it where people look. Add it as a tab, inside a tab group, or as a quick action on the home screen.

Built not to make things up

Careful by design, because a wrong room is worse than no answer

It looks before it answers

Every answer comes from a lookup against your agenda, speakers or selected material, never from what the model remembers.

No invented details

It never invents a time, room, price, name or address. If part of an answer is missing, it says which part.

Your fallback, in your words

When your material doesn't cover a question, it gives your "When it doesn't know" line, or points people to the organizers.

Sources, one tap away

Answers drawn from your pages and documents list them underneath, and attendees can open the page or document to read more.

On topic, whatever the prompt

It declines questions that aren't about your event, and treats text inside documents as content, not commands. Your instructions can't override these rules.

The attendee's language

It replies in the language the question was asked in, which helps at regional events with delegates from many countries.

FAQ

NookAI Assist questions

What can NookAI Assist answer from?

Your live agenda and speakers; your event's name, dates, venue and time zone; and whichever App Pages, Documents and knowledge files you select. It doesn't currently answer from exhibitor listings, the floor plan or announcements, so put anything attendees will ask about those into a page or note.

Does it make things up?

It's built not to. It looks things up before every answer, never invents a time, room, price, name or address, and says which part it doesn't know when a detail is missing. When your material doesn't cover a question, it gives your own fallback line.

How quickly does it pick up changes?

Agenda and speaker changes are reflected immediately, because they're read live. Changes to pages, documents and knowledge files take effect after you press Sync now.

Can it answer visa and local questions?

Yes, from the material you give it: a Travel & Visa page, a guidance PDF, or a local-information note. It only repeats what that material says, so keep it accurate and link to official sources.

What file types can we upload?

Knowledge files can be PDF (up to 20 MB), Markdown or plain text, up to 50 files. You can also write a note directly in the admin. App Pages and Documents you already have can be selected without uploading anything again.

Can people who haven't signed in use it?

Yes, but they only get answers from material marked Public. Knowledge files are Attendees only by default, so a hotel discount code or an internal contact stays with registered attendees.

What languages does it support?

It replies in the language the question was asked in.

Can we test it before attendees see it?

Yes. The assistant is off until you switch it on, and the Preview panel lets you ask it questions first, including against instructions you haven't saved yet. Nothing asked in Preview is logged.
